Separation and Detention of Parents and Children at the Border: Lessons from Impacts of Parental Incarceration on Children & Families

Two new research briefs are available from the Center on Immigration and Child Welfare

  1. Summarizes recent findings on the negative consequences of parental incarceration on children and families, identifies the connection to detention of immigrant parents, and provides practice and policy recommendations.
  2. Reviews the existing literature on the impacts of immigration detention on children and families, and provides recommendations to support and promote their well-being.
